2010 New Year's Resolutions
This is the first time I have ever made New Year's resolutions, and they are aggresive goals:
- Sell and give away stuff I don't need/no longer use
- Set up LackOfSpark.com as my business site for promotion
- Find at least one new client to develop a website for
- Finish my first Firefox extension
- Get a Full-time job
- Create a website that generates an income, no matter how low
- Move out
- Save $16,000
- Exceed the 12% New Year's resolution goal achievement rate [wikipedia]
Some of these goals are far easier than others, but I think that they are necessary as a way to monitor progress. Setting up a website is easy for me, setting up a site that makes even $1/month is hard. The Firefox extension is already in progress and 90% working - it just needs some final touches and a UI. Selling stuff that nobody wants is hard, which is why if things don't sell then I plan to give them away - something I don't think I've ever done yet. Getting a Full-time job will be difficult, but if I do that, then saving $16,000 in 2010 will be easier - otherwise it will be impossible. Lastly, according to wikpedia only 12% of participants in as study completed their New Year's resolutions. Does this mean I have to complete all my goals or I have also failed? Yes, therefore this the most difficult goal of all, as it requires the completion of all the other goals.
Big announcement
